I have enjoyed practicing here in the Berkshires since 1999. I working with adults, adolescents and children of any age and have offices in both Pittsfield and Williamstown. I also teach a Winter Study course at Williams College.
In addition to counseling people with all manner of concerns and diagnoses, I have specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with specific expertise in treating Anxiety Disorders and Eating Disorders. I utilize CBT with Exposure Therapy as a primary mode of treatment for many anxiety disorders, such as phobias, panic and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also use Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based Therapy with clients, such as those with chronic worry or generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Other populations and issues I particularly enjoy working with include: college students, trauma, coping with medical procedures and illnesses, LGBT, and postpartum concerns.
Insurances Accepted: Many insurances are accepted including: Aetna, Beacon, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, GIC, Magellan, Medex, UBH, United Health Care, and several EAPs.
