I welcome working with adolescents, adults and families. My professional background includes working at a number of social service and health organizations, and 16 years as a School Counselor. My areas of expertise include: family counseling; adolescents; women’s issues; relationships; stress management; mind-body connection; parenting; LGBTQ; career counseling; body image; depression; anxiety; stress management; and other counseling issues.
I believe that every client has unique strengths and will work in collaboration with you to develop therapeutic goals that are important and meaningful for you. In our sessions, we will work together to clarify your thoughts, feelings, needs and explore creative and realistic options for your concerns. My responsibility and role as a therapist are not to make decisions for you, but to explore what is important to you and to help facilitate reaching your own unique decisions and goals. Through this process, you can discover and decide on any changes you may choose to create your best life. I use a variety of approaches including: motivational interviewing; positive psychology; cognitive-behavioral and systems theory; and coaching. I believe learning is a life-long process and thus am always looking for ways to grow as a therapist and as an individual.
Insurances Accepted: Beacon, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Employee Assistance Plans, GIC, Harvard Pilgrim, Health New England (HNE), Medicare, Tufts, United Behavioral Health (UBH), and United Health Care.
