I am an independent clinical social worker licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I started my career 40 years ago in ministry and gradually focused on psychotherapy as my profession. Since the early 1990s I have worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings. I bring a broad range of academic and practical experience to my work as a therapist. Questions of meaning, value, and purpose often surface in my work with clients. I have respect for my clients’ struggles. I am committed to collaborative problem-solving. Honesty, motivation, and intuition guide me in helping the other.
My specialties include treatment for adults, couples, and group therapy. I have training and experience in treating adjustment issues across the life cycle, family problems, interpersonal conflicts, domestic violence, and anger resolution. I am an expert in work-related difficulties, values clarification, trauma, anxiety, depression, and the process of change in the face of challenges to self-fulfillment.
Among the treatment resources I use are developmental psychology, cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness-based and mind-body focused treatment modalities.
Insurances Accepted: Beacon, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CIGNA, Health New England, Humana, MBHP, Medicare, Tufts, United Behavioral Health
